The Farmland Preservation Artists present:
"On Centre" A Plein-Air, All-Media Weekend Workshop
Featuring: Invited artist/instructor, Elizabeth Apgar - Smith
September 29 - 30, 2007 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
The Grange Hall, Pennsylvania Avenue (Main Street), Centre Hall, PA
This workshop is open to any painting medium. We will meet at The Grange Hall, where coffee and snacks will be provided. After gathering our group and materials, we will drive to paint on location at nearby farms in beautiful Centre County.
Depending on the make-up of the group, the day will begin with a quick demo in either watercolor, pastels, or oils. After the presentation, each participant will receive individual instruction in his/her chosen medium throughout the day. Participants may work on one composition or a series a small works. While the workshop is structured to be non-media specific, Elizabeth will focus on the interdisciplinary concerns of color theory and the construction of composition within the varied media.
